Man dies after jumping into river to rescue dog
A man died on Sunday after jumping into a river to save his dog. He plunged into the icy waters of the River Lune in Lancaster when he saw his dog was in trouble, but he got into difficulty himself and was pronounced dead at Lancaster Hospital.
